Spida & KD

There is not a lot of noise right now in the NBA. A lot of players stayed where they were expected to stay and those who moved, were not the league changing or exciting moves that the fans wanted or hoped for. The biggest move of Free Agency was Jalen Brunson to the Knicks, a move that was known long before free agency started. The second biggest move was PJ Tucker to Philly, another move that was known long before as well.

It's quiet right now and all eyes are on Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell, the two most prominent players on the trade market right now. Donovan Mitchell has not requested a trade but would welcome one to either New York or Miami. After the Jazz traded Gobert, it was clear that they were heading towards a rebuild. They want him on the team but understand he is not there for the long haul and are looking to move him before training camp starts.

Kevin Durant is the most prominent player in NBA history to hit the trade market. There has never been a player of his caliber to request a trade and teams are scrambling to put a deal together. The issue? No one is willing to give up what the Nets want. Unlike Mitchell, Durant has absolute say over where he goes and has requested to go to either Phoenix or Miami.

Neither the Jazz or Nets are budging on their asking price...so we wait.
